It’s an appropriation of Jeff Wall’s work ‘Picture for Women’. The original work is displayed on a laptop’s screen with a webcam on it. They are placed on a plinth and opposite to a mirror which is on the wall. In the original, it shows a complex spatial relationship between the figures and objects. A woman is looking out of the picture right towards the audience. Behind her, there is a mirror wall reflecting a man is looking at her with a camera capturing the whole scene. The installation increase this complexity by constructing a nested structure. The gazes of figures and camera are seemed to get back on themselves.
